A Michelin-starred restaurant, rebranded and relocated.
A Michelin-starred restaurant, rebranded and rebuilt following a relocation from Moseley to Westlands. Built in partnership with Gritt & Co.
Carters of Moseley had built a loyal Birmingham following over years of careful, ingredient-led cooking — a multi-course tasting menu built around foraged flora and wild fauna indigenous to the UK.
When the decision came to relocate to Westlands — one of their key suppliers — for a summer residency, the brand needed to follow. The existing site no longer reflected the new direction, and a fresh digital presence was needed to communicate the move to existing guests while attracting new ones to the temporary location.
A complete rebrand — new visual identity, new photography, and a new booking flow tied to OpenTable. The site was rebuilt on WordPress, with a domain change to reflect the rebrand.
I had originally built the prior Carters of Moseley site, so this was an evolution rather than a teardown — but a meaningful one. The previous booking system was replaced with OpenTable, the copy was rewritten to reflect the residency, and the domain was migrated without losing existing search equity.
A clean, focused landing page that told the story of the relocation and set expectations for guests — what to expect, where to find it, and how to book.
OpenTable integration handled bookings seamlessly through the transition. The residency was a success, and the brand now lives at wearecarters.co.uk/westlands.
